Revelations were not unique to the entertainment industry, but existed at U.S. employers of every size and in virtually every field, from entertainment to academia to government.

The #MeToo Movement is serving as a collective voice to speak out against sexual misconduct in the workplace. Actress Alyssa Milano is credited with the first #MeToo tweet last year and by November, #MeToo had generated more than 2.3 million tweets and 77 million Facebook posts.
