Achilles Group is a Houston-based team of HR professionals who provide fractional HRsupport and leadership development to growing businesses. We help organizations build strong teams, navigate employee challenges, and align HR practices with strategic goals—all without the cost of a full-time HR department. Together we bring over 250 years of business and HR experience that covers the full spectrum of HR and leadership development areas.

Who are Achilles Group’s services designed for?

Our typical clients are business owners, CEOs, CFOs, and operational leaders of privately held companies with 25 to 500 employees. We can also support start-ups undergoing rapid growth, offer targeted support to larger organizations, and provide leadership training and development plans for organizations of any size .

How do I get started with Achilles Group?

In order to get to know you, your business, and your needs or challenges, we start with a discovery meeting with your company’s top level of leadership. Our intentional questions help us to gain insight into the current state of your business and where you are headed. Then we develop a custom service plan, assigning our team of HR professionals based on your needs. Achilles Group is your strategic partner, supplementing and supporting your talent engagement efforts.

What makes Achilles Group different from other HR consulting firms?

We’re not transactional, we’re strategic partners. While many HR outsourcing companies offer templates and call centers, we offer real people who get to know your business, guide your leaders, and implement tailored solutions that work in your environment. Our goal is to grow your internal competencies and resources to develop your people and optimize policy and process. Our goal is to help you make your organization and people stronger, not dependent on us.

Do you provide payroll and benefits services?

We will make connections, provide advice, and help you hire the right payroll and benefits providers for your needs. We will also help to onboard or offboard certain providers or pursue related initiatives, but we do not directly provide payroll or benefit services for our clients.

Can you help us transition off of a PEO?

Yes! We are experienced in PEO transitions. We help you regain control of your HR function by setting up internal systems, training staff, and connecting you with trusted providers for payroll, benefits, and compliance.

Do you offer on-site support or is it all virtual?

We provide both. Our Houston-based team works on-site with clients as needed, and we also offer remote support for flexibility and efficiency. You’ll have a dedicated HR leader and access to a full team behind the scenes.

How does your pricing work?

We operate on a fractional model, providing high-impact HR support tailored to your scope and needs. Pricing depends on the level of support, number of concurrent workstreams, and size of your organization. We’re happy to walk through options in a consultation.
