Dan Calvert

As a Managing Member of Achilles Group, LLC, Dan adds a wealth of experience in business, human resources and the Retail Industry. With more than 30 years of business and HR experience, Dan offers his clients shrewd business acumen and sound advice. Dan’s wisdom and candid approach to mentorship has helped him earn confidant status with clients and to drive the growth and effectiveness of the Achilles team. He also has exceptional capabilities with employee relations issues and EEOC claims investigation and response.  He has served clients in Hotel / Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Construction, Manufacturing, Skilled Trades and Oilfield Equipment & Services.

Before he joined Achilles Group, Oshman’s Sporting Goods was home for Dan, where he was Vice President of Human Resources. He directed HR activities, policies and procedures, benefits, recruitment and training for the $350 million retail company. He also held numerous business and management positions during his tenure.

Dan is currently on the board of directors for InvesTex Credit Union. He enjoys fishing and outdoor activities in East Texas but spends most of his weekend’s fishing in Galveston Bay and staying at his beach house on the island. Dan especially loves spending time with his family and his grandson.

Kristen McGullion

As a Managing Member of Achilles Group, LLC, Kristen is a dedicated and committed leader for our brand. Through 16 years of service Kristen has developed a wide array of human resources skills and expertise across multiple industries to include Management Services, Asset Management, Oil & Gas Services, Nonprofits and Manufacturing. She advises clients in conflict resolution, corrective action, legal compliance, recruiting effectiveness, workplace harassment and EEOC claims. She also enjoys developing proactive solutions to employee morale challenges and team development issues.

Kristen’s personal journey to growth, from entry level to business owner, gives her unique perspectives and capabilities. She serves as a coach for our clients’ internal HR employees and engages as a mentor to help her Achilles colleagues grow and develop as HR Professionals. And in addition to her work with a select portfolio of clients, Kristen is a key driver for our business development strategies, and she energizes our sales and client retention efforts to grow the business.

A native Texan hailing from West Columbia, Kristen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University. She and her husband have two beautiful daughters and a dog named Cash. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crawfish boils, country music and Sunday brunch.

Stan Spaulding

As a Managing Member of Achilles Group, LLC, Stan provides HR expertise, leadership and guidance to business owners, executive leadership and managers of companies of all sizes, across a variety of industries. His core focus is to build team competency by encouraging strength of leadership, prioritization, planning and execution. He believes in the power of effective relationships and the essential element of continuous feedback.

Stan is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). His background includes more than 25 years of generalist HR experience with deep expertise in Leadership Training & Development at all levels. One of his main responsibilities is facilitating executive level discussions and encouraging leadership teams to uncover the answers that will drive their business forward. He also has experience with Organizational Development, Staff Restructuring, And Start-Up and Acquisitions Projects. He Has Worked with Clients in Oil & Gas Services, Technology, Professional Services, Warehousing, Distribution, Electrical/Mechanical Services, Member-Owned Club Facilities, Accounting, and Manufacturing.

When he’s not at work, Stan likes to get outside and breathe, read, write a little and reconnect with blue sky, green trees and family. Stan and his wife live in Houston and are blessed with two fine sons.

Amelia Boettiger

Amelia serves as a standing member of the team responsible for the creation and maintenance of all Achilles training resources. Her strong people skills and intellect make her ideally suited to play a key role in the deployment of our Client Leadership Training and Development services. Her work is essential to our efforts to define, create, host and deliver a mixed client schedule of training content.  Amelia provides internal support for our administrative services as well as team activities and recognition.  In addition, Amelia is very hands on with her contributions to our Marketing function to include creative content research, production, and posting across multiple channels. She carries a positive caretaker nature with a willingness to do whatever is needed with a smile.

Amelia came to Achilles as a Texas Tech University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in University Studies. She also studied abroad at the Texas Tech University Center in Sevilla, Spain, teaching Spanish to local students. In her free time, Amelia enjoys traveling and seeing new parts of the world, cooking and baking, and spending time with family.

Ariana Hennings

At Achilles Group, Ariana supports clients through practical, people-centered HR strategies that align with each organization’s culture and business goals. Her work includes designing tools and frameworks that bring clarity and structure to the employee experience—such as career progression mapping, engagement surveys, onboarding processes, and coaching plans. She also partners with leaders to navigate compliance through the development of company policies, handbooks, and best practice procedures. Ariana has worked across a variety of industries, including faith-based organizations, engineering, construction, landscaping, and consumer packaged goods.

Ariana holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Human Resource Management, also from Texas A&M. Her studies have shaped a people-first perspective that she brings to every client engagement.

Ariana is driven by the belief that better workplaces can lead to a better world. She is passionate about helping individuals discover and grow their natural gifts and talents. Ariana finds purpose in supporting leaders build high-performing teams aligned with strategic goals. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hosting game nights, exploring local coffee shops, baking desserts, and creating spaces where people can gather, laugh, and connect.

Bailey Bautista

Bailey came to Achilles Group as an energetic and sharp graduate from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Business Management and a concentration in Human Resources Management. She handles a variety of HR workstreams to include handbook audits, policy development and roll out presentations, job description role clarity discovery, development and implementation, salary market reviews, new hire check in process and exit interviews. She leverages her understanding of HR fundamentals and her exceptional research skills to keep our team and clients on the leading edge of compliance issues and updates.

Bailey has also conducted extensive TalentConnection recruiting sourcing and applicant screening interviews for client accounts spanning numerous industries and business sectors to include Non-Profit / Faith Based, Oil and Gas Production, Residential / Commercial Real Estate, Construction and Field Services, Restaurant, Banking, Aviation Consulting, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage and Financial Services.

Bailey has always had a passion for leadership and serving others. Her main goal when working with others is to inspire them and to leave an impact. Born and raised in Houston Texas she enjoys sharing free time with family and friends. She also loves to discover new recipes to cook, traveling and going to the movies.

Brian Grayson

Throughout his HR career, Brian has consistently delivered impactful results for clients across multiple industries. He has provided comprehensive HR support across various functions, set up a smooth and engaging onboarding experience, and maintaining the integrity of HR data systems. His ability to counsel employees and managers on HR best practices and his active involvement in learning and development initiatives underscore his commitment to fostering growth and development. Brian has developed HR initiatives in real estate, aviation technology and public education.

Brian graduated Summa Cum Laude from Stephen F. Ausin State University with a degree in Human Resources Management as a University Scholar. He is an active member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and HR Houston.

In his free time Brian enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching football and cooking. During the weekend you can find him at the local dog park or enjoying a game night with friends.

Brianna Carter

Brianna serves as a designated consultant for multiple Achilles clients and also is assigned as a key contributor on our Achilles Way group that is tasked with continually improving our fractional HR tools and techniques across multiple domains of our service offerings.

Brianna’s responsibilities include recruiting activities, initiatives around team communications structure, engagement surveys, updating evaluation process as well as providing support for policy and handbook development, providing counsel for employee relations challenges and delivering leadership training and development content. She also helps clients address the problems generated from a lack of role clarity by identifying core responsibilities and constructing effective job descriptions. Her efforts provide clients the tools and techniques needed to establish clarity of expectations, effective relationship and accountability.

Brianna is a charismatic and passionate Human Resource professional who delivers stellar customer service for clients across multiple industries. She has experience serving Non-Profit / Faith Based, Restaurant, Petro Chem, Senior Living, Banking, Oil Field Services, Aviation Consulting, Food & Environmental Testing, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage and New Startup Businesses. Brianna graduated Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management. She began her HR career with a mid-size Houston staffing agency, where she handled policy management, records maintenance, employee relations, onboarding & offboarding, performance management and employee benefits.

Brianna is a Houston native. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to the movies, attending church and spending time with her family.

Cathy Kilgore

Cathy is a senior human resources leader with extensive experience in both strategic and operational aspects of human resources. She led the charge for organizational change during multiple company mergers and acquisitions. She has deep experience in the areas of Compensation, Coaching and Counseling, Employee Relations and Engagement. Cathy is a facilitator for our Engaged Leadership Training and Development content and a standing member of the team responsible for the creation and maintenance of all of Achilles training resources. With a positive approach to business and people, she enjoys working with teams to create big picture plans for company and individual success.

Cathy is exceptionally equipped to work with client owners and by gaining a clear understanding of their business she is able to develop and engage HR strategies that contribute to their profitability. Her experience across multiple sectors includes Skilled Trades, Oil Field Services and Equipment, Energy Distribution, CNC & Manufacturing, Social Services, Petro Chem / Industrial, Non-Profit / Faith Based, Commercial Real-estate & Banking. Prior to Achilles Group, Cathy held executive human resource positions with a Nationwide Department Store Chain Stores and a Global Logistics Supply Chain Company. Having a passion for natural health, she previously owned a holistic health and wellness center.

Cathy loves being outdoors, gardening, walking her dogs or just putting her feet in the grass. She teaches classes on holistic health and enjoys travelling with her spouse. She enjoys the day-to-day collaboration with the team of talented human resource professionals at Achilles Group and supporting Achilles diverse client base.

Christy Plant

Christy is an ambitious professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills. She brings business maturity and depth of understanding regarding the importance of Emotional Intelligence and its significance in the workplace. She is a consummate learner with a passion for leadership, learning and development. She works to help leaders grow and to drive best practices that contribute to a healthy and profitable work culture.

Christy contributes to our TalentConnection Services by sourcing job applicants to help find the best candidates for our clients. She is also engaged to assess roles and create job descriptions, provide support with onboarding materials, and conduct detailed Salary Market Reviews as well as provide general support with HR Compliance research. She has worked with clients across multiple industries to include Non-Profit / Faith Based, Education, Oil and Gas Production, Geo Tech, Multifamily Commercial, Technology, Construction and Field Services, Entertainment and Banking.

Christy is a native Houstonian, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She has 4 adult children who make her very proud, and in her free time enjoys traveling, shopping, spending time with family and friends, and doting on her two pups, Tori and Lila.

Cindy Brinkmeyer

Cindy believes in doing what is right for the business and when it comes to people doing it in the right way at the right time. She works with leaders to put people at the heart of decisions and to ensure employees are treated fairly and respectfully. Cindy is a standing member of the team responsible for capturing client feedback relative to the value and impact of our services. In this capacity she works to ensure the strengthening of each client relationship and position our services in a way that leads to profitable outcomes on both sides.

Cindy spent much of her career in the Oil and Gas Services industry, including nine years at a US Oilfield Services Company, where she helped to build the human resources function. In addition, she has worked on projects within other sectors including Services & Supply, Skilled Trades, Packaging & Distribution, Research & Bio Tech, Commercial Real-estate, Non-Profit / Faith Based, Energy Distribution, Banking Healthcare and HVAC. Her experience includes Acquisitions, Downsizing, Employee Relations, System Implementation, Policy and Procedure Development and Leadership Training & Development programs.

Cindy graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management with an emphasis in Human Resources. She was first drawn to human resources through a desire to work with people and dive deeper into employment law. With more than 12 years of HR experience, Cindy is a true generalist by nature, with a passion for the key role HR plays in business strategy. As a Human Resources Consultant, Cindy is passionate about developing talent within organizations, and how all areas of HR affect the overall strategy of a business. She thoroughly enjoys Creative Performance Management Processes, Employee Communications and Employee Relations.

Outside of the office, Cindy spends her time with her husband and daughter participating in soccer, dance and Girl Scouts. While she enjoys working out, Netflix, and watching college football and the Houston Astros play, she and her family’s ultimate favorite thing to do is visit Disney theme parks!

Courtney Shelton

Courtney serves multiple clients as a Designated Consultant and also as a leader on our internal team responsible for the creation and maintenance of all of Achilles TalentConnection tools, process and quality standards as well as a trainer and coach for our colleagues who work on TalentConnection process.

Courtney is highly skilled and broadly experienced in multiple HR Disciplines to include employee relations, talent acquisition, leadership training and development, role clarity, compensation, salary market reviews, performance management, benefits administration, policy and procedure development and implementation.

Courtney adds over 15 years of human resources experience to our team and prior to joining the Achilles Group, she served as the HR Manager for a Dallas based commercial real estate company. Courtney has a natural ability to connect with and inspire collaboration with clients to achieve positive business impact and has experience across multiple sectors to include Hotel & Hospitality, Home Health Services, Skilled Trades, Construction and Field Services, Research & Bio Med, Energy Services, Commercial Real Estate and New Startup Business. She earned both her PHR (Professional in Human Resources) and her SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional). Courtney attended Texas A&M University and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management with an emphasis in Human Resources.

Native to Houston, Courtney lived in Dallas after college, where she met her husband. They have lived in Boston, Houston and are now back in Dallas and still cheering on the Aggies at every stop. Courtney enjoys spending her free time at the beach and traveling with her husband and their rambunctious son.

Emily Green

Emily serves as a key contributor to the team that manages the internal development, production and systems training aspects of our Achilles TalentConnection Services. She also is a passionate recruiting resource working on multiple client accounts across virtually any industry to match people with jobs that are best fit for both the employee and the business.

Emily has additional experience in providing core HR services across multiple industries to include Non-Profit / Faith Based, Petro Chem, Senior Living, Banking, Oil Field Services, Aviation Consulting, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage and Hospitality. These HR workstream contributions include People Performance work with constructing effective job descriptions, identifying core factors to complete salary market reviews and providing clients the necessary information to determine competitive pay levels. She also works to develop our Recruiting Effectiveness tool kits; onboarding process tools and base pay / merit pay client compensation projects.

Emily believes in the importance of extending grace to those who need it. Without grace, work would be difficult to navigate out of fear of repercussions. Extending grace leaves room for encouragement and provides a workplace that is enjoyable and functional.

Emily has her SHRM CP and comes to Achilles as an HR Management graduate from Sam Houston State University with a minor in Psychology. She possesses a strong interest in employee/labor relations issues and the need for leaders to make good decisions for their employees and the business. She brings excellent research skills and pulls out HR trends and compliance topics to distribute to our team.

Her drive to go the extra mile, her responsiveness and the natural tendency to dig into research serves the team well. Emily is a member of Champions Running Association and joins group runs throughout the week. She also spends time weaving blankets as gifts for family and friends and caring for her friend and support animal Mildred the Cat.

Hannah Arabie

Hannah applies her education, talents, intellect and smile to serve our clients and grow our business. She engages with multiple clients as a Designated Consultant and also as a contributor to several internal Achilles process improvement teams. She is assigned as a key contributor on our Achilles Way group that is tasked with continually improving our fractional HR tools and techniques across multiple domains of our service offerings.

She carries direct responsibility for workstreams on accounts across a variety of business sectors including Petro Chem, Construction and Field Services, Residential / Commercial Real Estate, Entertainment, Products Distribution, Oil Field Services, Medical / Lab Services, Heavy Equipment Transport, Communications Technologies and Consulting Services.

Hannah brings a fearless attitude to any new challenge and works to research and equip herself to provide effective compliance advisement. She has experience across multiple domains of service to include employee relations, engagement surveys, salary market reviews and corrective action process. She has provided recruiting process design, onboarding frameworks and related tool kits, support for improving functional structure and establishing new leadership roles, policy development, FMLA compliance and personal leave management, role clarity and job description development and merit pay / base pay annual compensation review process.

Hannah is also very attentive to assessing policy and recruiting process through the lens of diversity and works to identify opportunities to enhance a client’s ability to benefit from more inclusive approaches.

Prior to Achilles Hannah earned her degree in Management from LSU with an HR Concentration. In her free time Hannah enjoys cooking Cajun cuisine and travel.

Jennifer Heylmun

Jennifer is the proactive ambassador for the Achilles Brand. She is responsible for developing relationships with business leaders and industry partners throughout the Houston market and managing our prospect and sales pipelines. Her poise and ability to discover needs and engage our team with companies in need of our services has fueled our progress in every facet of the sales process.

Her previous experiences in human capital management, business development and creative business services for IT consulting firms in Houston and Denver has allowed her to leverage her interest in human interactions and business development. Jennifer has also managed her own photography studio and brings exceptional photographic skills as a key resource to our team and to our brand development initiatives. She also has engaged her heart and capabilities on behalf of a non-profit enterprise that provides therapeutic horsemanship.

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, is a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade Committee. She enjoys traveling with her husband and three daughters, horseback riding, reading, and artistic projects.

Keely Mendoza

Keely balances our books, our management team and our people with her faithful heart and commitment to our financial integrity. Her 28 years of Accounting and Office Management experience keeps us realistic and disciplined. She gives all of us a place to go, talk and reflect. And she works nonstop to keep all back-office activities up and running to keep the team free to focus on serving our clients.

Keely started her career in Public Accounting and has applied her skills in a variety of industries, including Staffing, Travel and Corporate Housing. Before joining Achilles Group, Keely was with an internet media company that purchased, developed and monetized high-quality domain names and web properties.

When she’s away from the office, Keely enjoys trips back to visit her hometown in South Louisiana, spending time with her son, family & friends and watching her beloved New Orleans Saints.

Kyra Bob

Kyra is a confident and curious Human Resources professional who brings her recruiting background, fundamental HR knowledge, and bright smile to Achilles Group. She works alongside various team members to complete tasks pertaining to different client work streams, such as corrective action, recruiting effectiveness, salary market research, rollout presentation development, and the creation of job descriptions for employee role clarity. She also contributes to the team’s Talent Connection efforts, serving as both a sourcer and screener for a variety of positions.

Kyra delivers services and projects to support our clients and works internally to develop products for Achilles, such as employee communication templates and training documents. Her experience spans across multiple industries, including but not limited to, Oil and Gas, Residential/Commercial Real Estate, Construction, Transportation, and Banking.

Kyra has always been intrigued by the disciplines of leadership and the impact they have on employees and businesses.  This passion led her to earn both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the accredited Texas A&M University, where she studied Human Resource Development and minored in Business. It was during her studies that she learned the value of having an authentic, impactful, and honest leadership approach, which Achilles Group gives her the opportunity to embody as she works each day. She takes these core values and applies them when working with clients, making sure to show genuine interest and embrace a diversity of thought, thus remaining professionally human in all she does.

In her free time, Kyra enjoys acting and dancing in the Houston community, spending time with friends and family, attending church, and going to the movies. You can always find her with a big smile, enjoying life, and trying to brighten someone’s day.

Sara Aloumar

Sara is a dedicated professional with a focus in recruiting within our TalentConnection Services team, she plays a vital role in sourcing and screening exceptional job applicants, identifying strong candidates, evaluating roles, and engaging with clients. Sara demonstrates an eagerness to learn and a heartfelt passion for assisting others. Given her previous experience as a recruiter, she consistently makes a profound positive impact by guiding individuals to discover their ideal career paths, ensuring that clients receive the utmost value through the placement of top tier candidates.

Sara has worked with clients across multiple industries to include Restaurant, Property Management Services, and Energy Distribution. Sara graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in international commerce and a minor in business.

In her free time, Sara enjoys travelling to new countries and cities, spending time with friends and family, reading books, and working out at her local F45.

Shaina Schwartz

Shaina brings energy, good humor and a wide array of skills to serve the Achilles team as a driver of multiple internal operational functions along with direct client services work. As a member of our Management Team Shaina’s role includes internal production management and delegation of work streams. She partners with colleagues to help equip them with prioritization / planning of initiatives and basic consulting skills.

Shaina is exceptional at working through people problems and is able to interact with employees with different personalities and anticipate their reactions. She is often in the position of talking managers off the ledge and uses her earned trust and influence to get the frustrated leader to step out of emotion and follow the appropriate process rather than jump to conclusions or escalate the situation. Shaina makes a difference in our clients’ business, thrives on the challenges and shows great patience to work through employee relations issues, harassment investigations, internal complaints and progressive action.

As a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Shaina has been involved in start-ups, mergers & acquisitions, and provided HR expertise and advisement across multiple industries to include Manufacturing, Construction, Skilled Trades, Oil Field Services & Equipment, Chemical Manufacturing & Distribution, Heavy Equipment Transport and Property Management Services. She has provided executive level HR support for companies in every stage of the business lifecycle and has well-earned credibility with a variety of leadership teams and business structures, including publicly traded companies.

Shaina is a native Houstonian, born and raised in Sugarland, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development with a minor in Business Management from Texas A&M University. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and beautiful little girl and her cute little brother.

Taylor serves as our Business Analyst positioned to fuel the performance and margin objectives of Achilles Group. One of his roles is serving as a standing member of our TalentConnection services production and quality control team charged with the oversight and ongoing development of our TalentConnection Services. Taylor contributes his technical savvy to help the team utilize our applicant tracking system and to produce reports to enhance our focus, track orders, trouble shoot issues and improve our ability to deliver exceptional recruiting outcomes for our clients. Taylor also serves as our resident IT guru and resident power user and help desks for all of our systems.

Another core responsibility for Taylor is working with an internal team to greatly expand our ability to design, develop and deliver a broad inventory of Leadership Training and Development content. Taylor brings to the effort solid business perspectives to identify technical needs and solutions. He also works to organize our inventory of content, facilitation tools and the resources needed to fully equip our colleagues as they deploy training for hundreds of client leaders at client location, virtually or hosted at our facilities.

Taylor graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Before joining Achilles, he worked for five years as a Senior Engineer at Clarus Subsea Integrity. His analytic abilities combined with good people skills and dedication for profitable outcomes makes him well suited as a project team leader. Overall, Taylor serves in a multifaceted role focused upon enhancing our ability drive profitable impacts for both our clients and for the Achilles Brand.

Taylor has a passion for using his skills to help those around him succeed. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing and basketball. A true Texan, Taylor always makes time to watch his favorite sports teams: the Houston Texans and the Houston Rockets.

Veronica Flores

Veronica believes in an authentic approach to human resources that helps organizations create a thriving and holistic company culture. She enjoys performance development activities and creates and presents training content for multiple clients across several industries to include Technology, Energy Services, Skilled Trades, Manufacturing, Restaurant, Hospitality, Non-Profit, Social Service, Real Estate Management, Online Retail, Sr Living & Care Services, Construction Services and Social Services. Veronica is a facilitator for most of our Foundational Leadership and HR Essentials Leadership Training and Development content and a standing member of the team responsible for the creation and maintenance of all of Achilles training resources.

Veronica is a very poised and energetic HR professional with effective HR interventions skills combined with a passion to honor individual and cultural values and perspectives. Veronica is exceptional at building trust and addresses a lot of Employee Relations issues. She often serves as a neutral sounding board to work through situations and helps clients identify operationally friendly HR solutions. Her dedication to make a difference and help small businesses grow has been invaluable to many of our entrepreneurial clients that need guidance to get to the next level.

Prior to joining our team, Veronica served with Houston-based air carrier, where she specialized in Employee Relations, Union Grievances and Training for their Maintenance Division. Veronica has earned a reputation as a highly adaptive, fearless colleague able to deliver exceptional work with a positive outlook no matter the circumstance.

As an avid traveler, Veronica enjoys a good adventure by experiencing new countries and cultures. She also enjoys spending time with her daughter, roller skating and watching The Office.
