As a Managing Member of Achilles Group, LLC, Dan adds a wealth of experience in business, human resources and the Retail Industry. With more than 30 years of business and HR experience, Dan offers his clients shrewd business acumen and sound advice. Dan’s wisdom and candid approach to mentorship has helped him earn confidant status with clients and to drive the growth and effectiveness of the Achilles team. He also has exceptional capabilities with employee relations issues and EEOC claims investigation and response. He has served clients in Hotel / Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Construction, Manufacturing, Skilled Trades and Oilfield Equipment & Services.
Before he joined Achilles Group, Oshman’s Sporting Goods was home for Dan, where he was Vice President of Human Resources. He directed HR activities, policies and procedures, benefits, recruitment and training for the $350 million retail company. He also held numerous business and management positions during his tenure.
Dan is currently on the board of directors for InvesTex Credit Union. He enjoys fishing and outdoor activities in East Texas but spends most of his weekend’s fishing in Galveston Bay and staying at his beach house on the island. Dan especially loves spending time with his family and his grandson.

Amelia serves as a standing member of the team responsible for the creation and maintenance of all Achilles training resources. Her strong people skills and intellect make her ideally suited to play a key role in the deployment of our Client Leadership Training and Development services. Her work is essential to our efforts to define, create, host and deliver a mixed client schedule of training content. Amelia provides internal support for our administrative services as well as team activities and recognition. In addition, Amelia is very hands on with her contributions to our Marketing function to include creative content research, production, and posting across multiple channels. She carries a positive caretaker nature with a willingness to do whatever is needed with a smile.
Amelia came to Achilles as a Texas Tech University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in University Studies. Brianna’s responsibilities include recruiting activities, initiatives around team communications structure, engagement surveys, updating evaluation process as well as providing support for policy and handbook development, providing counsel for employee relations challenges and delivering leadership training and development content. She also helps clients address the problems generated from a lack of role clarity by identifying core responsibilities and constructing effective job descriptions. Cathy is a facilitator for our Engaged Leadership Training and Development content and a standing member of the team responsible for the creation and maintenance of all of Achilles training resources. With a positive approach to business and people, she enjoys working with teams to create big picture plans for company and individual success.
Cathy is exceptionally equipped to work with client owners and by gaining a clear understanding of their business she is able to develop and engage HR strategies that contribute to their profitability. Christy is a native Houstonian, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She has 4 adult children who make her very proud, and in her free time enjoys traveling, shopping, spending time with family and friends, and doting on her two pups, Tori and Lila.

Courtney adds over 15 years of human resources experience to our team and prior to joining the Achilles Group, she served as the HR Manager for a Dallas based commercial real estate company. Courtney has a natural ability to connect with and inspire collaboration with clients to achieve positive business impact and has experience across multiple sectors to include Hotel & Hospitality, Home Health Services, Skilled Trades, Construction and Field Services, Research & Bio Med, Energy Services, Commercial Real Estate and New Startup Business. Native to Houston, Courtney lived in Dallas after college, where she met her husband. They have lived in Boston, Houston and are now back in Dallas and still cheering on the Aggies at every stop. Jennifer is the proactive ambassador for the Achilles Brand. She is responsible for developing relationships with business leaders and industry partners throughout the Houston market and managing our prospect and sales pipelines. Her poise and ability to discover needs and engage our team with companies in need of our services has fueled our progress in every facet of the sales process.
Her previous experiences in human capital management, business development and creative business services for IT consulting firms in Houston and Denver has allowed her to leverage her interest in human interactions and business development. Jennifer has also managed her own photography studio and brings exceptional photographic skills as a key resource to our team and to our brand development initiatives. She also has engaged her heart and capabilities on behalf of a non-profit enterprise that provides therapeutic horsemanship.

Taylor serves as our Business Analyst positioned to fuel the performance and margin objectives of Achilles Group. One of his roles is serving as a standing member of our TalentConnection services production and quality control team charged with the oversight and ongoing development of our TalentConnection Services. Taylor contributes his technical savvy to help the team utilize our applicant tracking system and to produce reports to enhance our focus, track orders, trouble shoot issues and improve our ability to deliver exceptional recruiting outcomes for our clients. Taylor also serves as our resident IT guru and resident power user and help desks for all of our systems.
Another core responsibility for Taylor is working with an internal team to greatly expand our ability to design, develop and deliver a broad inventory of Leadership Training and Development content. Taylor brings to the effort solid business perspectives to identify technical needs and solutions. He also works to organize our inventory of content, facilitation tools and the resources needed to fully equip our colleagues as they deploy training for hundreds of client leaders at client location, virtually or hosted at our facilities.
Taylor graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Before joining Achilles, he worked for five years as a Senior Engineer at Clarus Subsea Integrity. His analytic abilities combined with good people skills and dedication for profitable outcomes makes him well suited as a project team leader. Overall, Taylor serves in a multifaceted role focused upon enhancing our ability drive profitable impacts for both our clients and for the Achilles Brand.

She enjoys performance development activities and creates and presents training content for multiple clients across several industries to include Technology, Energy Services, Skilled Trades, Manufacturing, Restaurant, Hospitality, Non-Profit, Social Service, Real Estate Management, Online Retail, Sr Living & Care Services, Construction Services and Social Services. Veronica is a facilitator for most of our Foundational Leadership and HR Essentials Leadership Training and Development content and a standing member of the team responsible for the creation and maintenance of all of Achilles training resources.

Veronica is exceptional at building trust and addresses a lot of Employee Relations issues. She often serves as a neutral sounding board to work through situations and helps clients identify operationally friendly HR solutions. Her dedication to make a difference and help small businesses grow has been invaluable to many of our entrepreneurial clients that need guidance to get to the next level.
Prior to joining our team, Veronica served with Houston-based air carrier, where she specialized in Employee Relations, Union Grievances and Training for their Maintenance Division. Veronica has earned a reputation as a highly adaptive, fearless colleague able to deliver exceptional work with a positive outlook no matter the circumstance.
As an avid traveler, Veronica enjoys a good adventure by experiencing new countries and cultures. She also enjoys spending time with her daughter, roller skating and watching The Office.
