Recruiting with Intention

We don’t hire people to lose them. So, establishing an effective recruiting process is vital for your business to attract, retain and engage an inspired team. We at Achilles Group believe that the first phase to successfully grow your workforce consists of Intentional Recruiting Methods. In today’s positive economic environment, finding the right person for the right seat can seem like a daunting task. And what if you need to grow in large numbers quickly? Even more concerning. Take the time to pause and plan intentional tools that will create a sustainable, clear process that can be scaled for your hiring needs. Here are a few ideas to do this:
- Take the time to break down recruiting stages, tasks and sequences. Assign the roles or team members responsible for each task and identify the tools needed for each phase and how your employees will be trained to use those tools.
- Have a well thought out approval process for identifying a hiring need. This may sound basic but evaluate the need to create a new position and new hire. Is there an opportunity for a functional organization change to cross-train other team members or distribute duties/roles over a team realistically without overburdening or fatiguing the team? If it is agreed that a new hire is essential, establish the recruiting timeline and determine the appropriate salary range based on the job responsibilities and the market value for the position.

Have in-depth conversations with the hiring manager or team leaders to uncover the true function and fit of who they are looking for.
