Field Services Technician (400FST)
Automation services company works with US producers to meet their objectives in the rapidly growing natural gas boom in locations throughout the United States.
Responsibilities
- Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
- Refine data and format final product.
- Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
- Test and develop programming modifications.
- Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
- Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
- Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of Manager of Programming.
- Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
- Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
- Write and maintain programming documentation.
- Analyze software solutions compatibility with company requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
- Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Program PLC's.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Responsibilities may require evening, weekend and field work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of related PLC programming and field experience a must
- B.S. Electrical Engineering or an Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience

- Travel 50% of the time (two weeks at the job site then two weeks off)

Oil Field Services Design Engineer (400ENG)
100 year old global company that manufactures heavy equipment for the Oil & Gas industry has an opening for a Project Engineer in based in East Texas responsible for capital projects of new machines including vendor coordination, installation, fixturing and tooling. Will also work in support of manufacturing operations for tooling, fixturing, environmental and safety.
Responsibilities
- Design Oilfield fixtures, tooling and facilities.
- Support manufacturing in regards to equipment or facility upgrades, safety and environmental issues.
- Perform engineering analysis pertaining to project work, existing equipment, or facilities.
- Perform engineering analysis / comparisons of machine tools.
- Prepare detailed drawings and/or sketches pertaining to design work.
- Acquire information and/or verify information from the field pertaining to project work.
- Manage and oversee assigned project work from initial design to project completion including budget responsibility and project management.
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, fabricators, etc. regarding the project at hand.
- Support the capital budget process by identifying and presenting potential capital projects including cash flows and project schedules.
- Special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from an accredited college or university plus at least one year experience.
- Knowledge of applied sciences such as thermodynamics, hydraulics, strength of materials, metallurgy, and mechanics, mathematics through calculus, and information systems and computer programs useful in engineering.
- Willing and able to provide effective input and feedback in written and oral forms in a timely manner.
- Skill in analyzing engineering graphics and blueprints.

Electrical Instrumental Engineer (410ELENG)
International capital equipment manufacturing company in the oil & gas industry in Southwest Houston defying the current economy with rapid growth is adding talent to their engineering team!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and direct preparation of detail drawings and electrical specifications for all products.
- Document and maintain complete Bills of Materials for products.
- Administer and control engineering change order process.
- Design Instrumentation/Electrical components and assemblies to meet customer requirements.
- Perform Control Systems analysis including power, RF, and signal timing.
- Assemble, install and modify designed systems.
- Prepare and Maintain Functional Test Procedures for equipment manufactured.
- Prepare and Maintain Operation & Maintenance Procedures for equipment manufactured/supplied.
- Direct Technicians to assemble, install and modify designed systems.

Requirements
- A bachelors of Science Degree in Instrumentation/Control Systems/Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of three (3) year experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- A thorough working knowledge and experience with a broad range of industrial control systems and electrical applications including high voltage power distribution, rectifiers, motor controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and current HMI technology.
- Familiarity with IEEE, NEC, ATEX, CE, IECEx, and other Industry Codes.
- An understanding of basic plant processes and the materials used in these processes.
- Continuous improvement skills and experience.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and AutoCAD Electrical. Experience in Solid works 3D Modeling beneficial.
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and progress project schedules from conception to completion of projects.
- Ability to make optimal decisions based on sound technical skills.

Senior Product Development Engineer (415DEVENG)
International capital equipment manufacturing company in the oil & gas industry in Southwest Houston defying the current economy with rapid growth is adding talent to their engineering team!
Responsibilities
Specifically, you will have responsibility for the following functions:
- Sole responsibility for the evaluation of existing solids management equipment to determine opportunities for improvement and based on those opportunities develop design plans to accomplish the necessary enhancements.
- Responsibility for the evaluation of the equipment offering and determination of additional products to be incorporated into the product offering. Based on this determination, the Senior Product Development Manager will then be responsible for the design and/or manufacturing strategy.
- Work with Sourcing and Procurement to evaluate alternative materials of construction or product substitutes.
- Work with the Quality Assurance organization to provide engineered solutions that resolve documented product performance, product quality, manufacturability, or cost basis issues.
- Prepare and direct preparation of detail drawings and mechanical specifications for all products, including Bill of Materials, material specifications, welding procedures, and product acceptance testing procedures.
- Prepare and direct preparation of detailed manufacturing drawings, inclusive of manufacturing tolerances and quality control call outs, and documentation for individual customer orders based on specific job requirements.
- Prepare and direct preparation of documentation and drawings for customer quotations and marketing presentations. This may include the incorporation of customer-driven customizations.
- Design and direct the design of product improvements based on customer and sales input. As such, close interaction will be required with both customers and sales personnel to collect the necessary input. Effective communication channels will need to be developed to ensure timely and accurate feedback.
- Document and maintain complete bills of materials for products, inclusive of the development of a document management system necessary for life-cycle management of all Engineering-issued documents.
- Administrate and control of engineering change order process. This will include the development of automated workflow systems.
- Calculate and verify required structural integrity of equipment based on specific customer applications. All design inputs shall be formally determined and documented per ISO 9001 and the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Requirements
The Engineering Manager will fill a key role in a company where a can-do attitude and individual contributions to the team are highly valued and recognized. He/she will lead all design functions in a fast-growth, dynamic environment; and will direct all product design, including detailed manufacturing documentation.
- Must have a bachelor's degree and five (10-15) years of experience of a minimum of seven (7) years experience working in the oil and gas industry and solids control equipment. Experience working with manufacturing based technology and lean manufacturing techniques preferred.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Physical Science. (A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.)
- Ten to fifteen years relevant experience designing similar mechanical equipment, with a minimum of five years experience in a supervisory role.
- Expertise in designing large scale, material moving mechanical machinery using two and three-dimensional software.
- Experience in liquid/solid control, drilling mud, drilling fluid, and contract drilling equipment industry sectors is highly desirable.
- Ability to understand and implement the interface of computer designs with computer driven manufacturing machinery.
- Highly computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, ACT, AutoCAD, 3D Design (Solid Works or Pro Engineer).
- Fully functional working knowledge of AutoCAD (v14); and the ability to interface spreadsheet (Excel) design and configuration specifications into AutoCAD documentation.
- Understanding and experience with dynamic design and integration of static structures with moving assemblies.
- Experience in integrating power transmission equipment into dynamic machinery.
- Understanding of both metric and imperial measurement systems; and documentation and design standards.
- Ability to apply finite element analysis to simple beam stress analysis problems.
- Experience with design of structural steel weldments and incorporation into assemblies.
- Knowledge of welding procedures for ferrous and alloy steels.
- Ability to interact with vendors and shop floor manufacturing personnel to oversee manufacturing process.
- Availability for up to 20% travel.
- Ability to work in a high-energy environment with minimal direction and supervision.
- High general mechanical aptitude with creative ability to overcome both design and scheduling challenges.
- Communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective verbal and written communication at all levels.
- Ability to lead, direct and motivate while maintaining focus, direction and control with strong team orientation.
- Ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously with the capacity to work independently, coupled with the ability to plan and perform work with minimal direction.

- Must have experience in developing technical reports related to failure analysis, root cause analysis or other investigation techniques.

- Advanced knowledge with computer software to include, but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Must demonstrate an ability to coordinate, direct and maintain highly confidential work and materials.
- Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
